MATT BRIDGES
​U.S.M.C. VETERAN

Patriot Matt Bridges enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after the attacks on 9/11. After the completion of recruit training and infantry school he was assigned to 1st Battalion 6thMarines, Alpha Company, 2ndMarine Division, Camp Lejeune, N.C. He served 2 tours with 1/6, in both Afghanistan and Iraq. On his second tour, in Saqlawiyah, Iraq, Patriot Bridges was wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device was detonated underneath his feet, on April 21, 2005. After his recuperation at Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, Patriot Bridges was medically retired from the Marine Corps after almost 7 years of faithful service to his country.
